【Kaori : Sencha】
The variety Shangjun was registered in 2000.
This tea is grown in the Motoyama area, located in the upper reaches of the Abe River, and is produced using traditional small machinery.
The upright, large, upright Kohjun teas are picked by stretching them until their fragrance intensifies.
The tea is made from pure sencha, which is heavily rubbed with minimal steaming time so that the aroma does not escape.
It contains a large amount of coumarin, which gives it a cherry leaf-like aroma, which intensifies when slightly oxidised. This tea has a good balance between the firm bitterness typical of sencha and the sweetness on the leaf surface.
The full-bodied, gorgeous fragrance is uplifting.
