【Akari : Kabusecha】
Single origin of the variety [Saeakari].
This variety has a very strong, full-bodied flavour and a characteristic edamame-like aroma.
In order to deepen its characteristic aroma, we asked the tea merchant to roast it strongly.
It is grown in Yabe Village, Yame City, and is cultivated under cover for around 10 days to further enhance its flavour.
It has a smooth bitterness in spite of its strength, and gives the impression of warming up from deep inside.
It has a deep flavour reminiscent of gyokuro, so when brewed slowly at low temperatures, it has a thickening effect like soup.
